Marla Chic

One of my absolute favourite dresses of the Marla line, by the talented Marla House Designer Rhiannon Rossini, is the Marla Chic dress. This is a steal at only 155L and it comes with both a long and short skirt included! It's a sweet belted button up top and is very pure and simple in its design, making it really versatile in your wardrobe. I love the flexiness of the skirt prims too. I highly recommend this one and it's available now at Stella’s Mall on Stella Isle. It's just behind the main sign when you enter the mall.

Freda's Fine Fashion & Basevi Moda Sexy Shoes @ Stella's Mall

The lovely and talented Freda Fredriksson, fresh from her recent InStyle graduates’ fashion show, was kind enough to send me a dress I saw in her shop that I just had to have! It’s a fantastic knitted dress with chiffon skirt shown in red in the picture. The knit texture is very realistic and appears to hug your body and complements the opaque chiffon textured flexi prim skirt perfectly. The back is the real show stopper though, laced up from neck to waist. Included with the dress is a variation of the top which is a very sheer cropped halter which you can wear with the spaghetti strap top or alone if you’re feeling very daring. This is dress is simply yummy! You can find this dress in a choice of delicious colours at Freda’s Fine Fashion main store or at Stella’s Mall on Stella Isle.

I’ve paired this fabulous dress with Stiletto Slingbacks in Dove from Basevi Moda Sexy Shoes. It’s no secret that I adore Lara Basevi’s shoes and her latest line of slingbacks is a staple in my wardrobe. They are finely detailed and beautifully textured. Cheeky. Colourful. Flirty. Fun. That's what I like about the "Carry" dress by "Marla", found at Stella's Mall on Stella Isle. The texture is an intermingling of animal print and chains ~ pretty wild stuff! The flexi mini is VERY mini, but not so much that you have to remember if you wore the right day's underpants. *wink*.

Brand New Marla Fire & Ice gowns at Stella's Mall

Now Stella's Mall, there's a brand new Marla range of gowns available called "Fire & Ice". This item is a very pretty cocktail length flexi skirt with lace trim. The waist is highlighted by a variegated contrasting colour in black or blue. The texturing of the lace along the neckline, as well as the attention to detail in the seams is excellent. I particularly like the flexi properties of the prim skirt as the prims don't float above your head when you rez in or dance :) The dress is available in a myriad of colours: Yellow (Yellow Flame), Red (Black Fire), White (Black Ice) and Blue (Blue Ice).

Fancy a touch of glamour? Check out this dress called "Marylin". The plunging V-neckline galter on this pleated flexi dress is all about ladylike sophistication. The slightly A-line, knee length skirt is really cute I think, but I'm a sucker for a touch of retro sweetness. It comes in 4 colours, black, mint, red and white. Featured today is the "Aly" dress by Marla at Stella's Mall on Stella Isle. This is an adorable knee length strapless summer dress with a delicate floral pattern and a matching colour band gracing the underbust. I like this dress in particular because it's so feminine and simple. You'll feel very ladylike in it! It comes in four colours: peach, black/blue, turquoise and orange. To find these dresses, just TP to Stella Isle and they are just to the right of the main Marla Mall near the entrance.

I would also highly recommend the "Basevi Moda Stiletto Slingback" in "Dove" to go with these dresses - I really liked how they complemented each other. These dresses and Basevi Moda shoes can also be found at Stella's Mall on Stella Isle.

Scarlet swimsuit by Marla @ Stella's Mall on Stella Isle

Take a gander at this sweet little number! It's called "Scarlet" and it's part of the Marla swimwear line. I love everything about these bathing suits. I love the colours and I love the cut. I'm all for thong bikinis too, but I opt for a full back bottom most of the time. This style of suit is great as an alternative to the usual skimpy bikini and would look great with your own sarong or skirt.

Saku Koltai of Fashionity Fantasy was kind enough to drop me some outfits to review and I'm really glad she did! Here are a couple of my favourites... The first is an adorable mini called Black Extravagance. It's a beautiful flexi skirt (with scripted skirt included as an option) that has lace detailing along the bodice and neckline. A stunning feature of the outfit is the back. It's cut dangerously low and will definitely turn heads! This sweet outfit is a must have for your next cocktail dance party.



This outfit is called Deep Black Sinatra. I wanted to show the gorgeous layer of lace that is underneath the long belted skirt (also included is a scripted skirt option). It also has a beautifully textured shrug with prim sleeves at the wrists. Saku did a lovely job with lining the neckline with lace and there are little button accents along the shrug's neckline. This complex gown is so unique, you will have IMs all evening asking where you got it.

Stella's Mall welcomes Fashionity Fantasy!






We here at Stella's Mall on Stella Isle proudly welcome Saku Koltai, owner and creator of Fashionity Fantasy! Saku is a very sought after designer and has featured her designs in acclaimed fashion shows.

Saku dropped on me a beautiful dress called Lara i just had to feature for our loyal patrons! This flexi dress is GORGEOUS! It comes with a system skirt option too and is only 250L. You will not be disappointed in this beautiful creation.  Find it at her new Stella's Mall location to the right of the mall entrance on the beach.

Lingerie and Skins by Mannon



For a really beautiful set of lingerie, I think Mannon Mannonen, creator and proprietress of Mannon’s Fashion, does one of the best jobs around! The textures are so delicate and realistic and really well executed all around. She sent me a few pieces of hers to try and I chose this pink lace set. It comes with two types of stockings - one lacy and one opaque as well as two types of undies - one with garter that I’m wearing and one lacy with no garter. The best part is that the whole set is only 180L and worth every penny I say.

In the picture, I’ve paired it with another Mannon’s creation; a new skin called Myra. The one I’m wearing is the Dark Red lips with tan version. Each skin also comes with tintable eyes. A single skin is ONLY 450L and a pack of 4 for 1200L. You can pick up both the lingerie and skin as well as some fabulous and sexy clothes at her Stella’s Mall location.

Designs by Reasonable Desires at Stella's!

Austie Pegler and Martini Joliat of Reasonable Desires were kind enough to drop on me this beautiful lingerie set called Majestic Sweet Peach. This is a beautiful embossed satin set that also comes with coordinating peach stockings. I’ve chosen the opaque brown shade in the photo. This set is flirty and sweet with a fuller back panty instead of a thong. Now, hold on to your hats, because this gorgeous set is only 75L! I asked Austie why such quality work was being sold so inexpensively as surely her products could fetch much more. Her philosophy has always been that she wanted everyone to be able to afford beautiful items without breaking the bank. I think most of us probably have in our inventories an item from Reasonable Desires when we were just starting out ~ I know I still do. So, on behalf of everyone I’ll say thanks to Reasonable Desires. Available at Stella's Mall now.

Today was the day that I felt inspired to do some photos and what better way to spend the day than trying on all your new shoes and undies. Lara Basevi from Basevi Moda Sexy Shoes dropped on me two very full folders of new shoes she created and boy oh boy what a treat. Lara has become one of my very favourite shoe designers because her shoes are so versatile. They include a bling on and off option and she includes a sexy walk with every pair of shoes. What luck I had when I found her Blue and Silver leather stiletto pumps matched a lingerie set from Reasonable Desires called Blue Fine Lined lingerie perfectly! I just love the way Austie Pegler and Martini Joliat pay attention to every single detail of the garments they create. The lace detailing is perfect and I love the opacity of the stockings they include. Even the little clasps on the garters are perfect. Both items are very well priced so you won’t break the bank to look stunning.

Coziness in Cool February

There is this new sweater shop which I just love! It's called Pulli-Shop and it's just the ticket for cool weather that's yet to come! I've featured a lovely cowl necked tunic sweater called Romantic in Rose. I've paired this gorgeous sweater with Hair By Cher's Princess style. The texturing on this sweater is very realistic and the colour goes with just about anything ~ skirts, jeans, dress trousers..so versatile. Come to Stella's Mall on Stella Isle and see for yourself. My friend Dimona Diamond and I were shopping in Stella's Mall recently and there were a couple of items that Dimona puchased which I absolutely adored and wanted to show to you! New range called Marla Pure Arrives!

To complement our existing collection (now called Marla Classic) we are able to bring to you a whole new range of Marla clothing called Marla Puredesigns by Leila Fitzgerald. We love it and hope you do too :) So, I'll post a few items that I particularly liked.

First up is Marla Pure Gold Bikini...we are still in the throes of winter in many places, so it's time we start dreaming of our tropical paradise! You'll need this when you go..

The Marla Pure line has another stunning swimsuit called Scarlet. It features different colourful retro prints which will look stunning on any beach~ here's one of them, but go to Stella's Mall and pick which one you like best.



Next I fell in love with this cute baby doll top and jeans outfit called Marla Pure Brit. It is available in lots of different colours..here's the black one:



This Marla Pure Polka Dot dress is simply adorable..comes in lots of other colours as well:



The Marla Pure Carry dress is a sweet little mini with flexi skirt. Featured here is the light coloured pattern, but also comes in different patterns to suit any taste:



Next I chose the Marla Pure Maria denim and skirt outfit. This beautiful flex skirt is textured with the Leo flower pattern in this picture, but the outfit also comes in a snake skin pattern which is equally sweet.



Also in the Leo flower pattern is the Marla Pure Dee dress which has a fantastically crafted multilayer flexi skirt!

Stella's Mall is proud to host a Freda's Fine Fashion store located on our Beach in front of the Stella's Mall entrance. If you haven't seen Freda's creations, you owe it to yourself to check it out~I went head-over-heels for this beautiful lace dress, featured here in a wine colour:

Feeling romantic? Try this lovely Marla dress called Floral Dream. You'll be pleasantly surprised by the texturing on this long skirt. When you move, you'll see a lovely rosy pink colour peeking through the skirt. It's lovely!

I really love the simplicity of Marla Retro outfit. It also comes with a shorter skirt, but I went with the sleek pencil skirt with band. Great for those business meetings~



I tried on the Marla Making Hay outfit!  I think the name speaks for itself :) Pretty floral prim short skirt and white halter:



This next Marla outfit is really unique! It's called Muse and if you look carefully at the skirt, it features Warhol's Marilyn Munroe abstract! The longer skirt is primarily a matching green colour and also has Marilyn. You'll definitely stand out wearing this one..be sure to go to an art gallery :)

Lara Basevi, proprietress of Basevi Moda Sexy Shoes, dropped on me these little numbers! They are the Black Stiletto Ankle Boots Flexi Fur Suede and wow are these boots were made for walkin'...right back to the store to get more! The suede is richly textured and the fur is generous with just the right amount of movement. I think I will have a hard time taking them off! I've paired them here with Rocker's Wear milano pants. So, come on down to Stella's Mall and check out Basevi Moda and Rocker's Wear~ be sure to pick up landmarks to their main shops as well for more fabulous items.

Marla Retrospective Reviews

I was taking more photographs of some Marla clothes for an upcoming advertisement in Royal Elite magazine and I loved some of the clothes so much, I had to blog them! I've seen the pictures of these particular items many times of course but I didn't have an opportunity to try them until this occasion and I'm glad I did...I had to show you the Marla Pearl Belle Wedding Gown. It's really pretty! It almost makes me want to marry my hubby again, if only to wear this dress! :)

Another one i really liked was the Marla Night & Day dress...low cut without being too revealing and a belted long skirt! Perfect~

Next, I tried on the Marla Diva dress. I absolutely loved the asymmetrical ruffle of the skirt and the colour is so distinctive ~

Marla's Favourites~

Alongside our new vendors' fabulous products, we some wonderful offerings from a few of Second Life's most established and loved stores such as UK Couture, KA Designs, DellyciousWear, and Marla. Stella's Mall is the exclusive location of Marla and I wanted to highlight some of the most popular creations:

The Audrey Bling dress: This has just a hint of sparkle on this black cocktail length skirt. The strapless bodice is accented by a simple red ribbon. The shoes are the Sexy Furrball colour change shoe by AFantasy Shoes (also available at Stella's Mall).

Next we have the pink Princess Bling dress. This dress comes either with accessories like belt and bolero jacket or simple plunging V-neck. Again, it has little a diamond bling sparkle to the skirt ~ very delicate and romantic. This bling skirt is a trademark of Marla's designs!

Marla has an adorable polka dot crisscrossstrap mini dress. Featured below is the navy and eggshell colours. The crisscross strap along the back of the dress is a cute detail. The flexi skirt has a great flounce, as well.

Now for something hot to wear on those cold autumn nights~ Marla's Pin Up lingerie, shown below in in red and black. It is a beautiful one-piece corset style with lace appliqué on the front and lacing on the back.
